Outpouring*

An outpouring is an outburst of strong emotion. In a Biblical context, this refers to an outpouring of the Holy Spirit, which is referenced in the Old Testament: "And I will pour out my Spirit on youroffspring, and my blessing on your descendants." (Isaiah 44:3b NIV). Bryan & Katie Torwalt's contemporary worship song "Holy Spirit" lies at the core of this meditation, highlighting the phrase "Holy Spirit, You are welcome here; come flood this place and fill the atmosphere."
